Dubai Sept 7, 2007: It was a maiden Monthi Fest celebration for Ferarites UAE, an association of Ferarites living in the UAE. The association has carved a niche for itself already in organizing many events, get-togethers and other social activities within a very short span of few months since its inception.

The members of Ferarites UAE gathered at the Winnys Restaurant in Karama after the Solemn Festive Mass at St. Mary's Church in Dubai.

The programme began at 1:30 pm in the presence of large crowd with a welcome note by Roshan Pereira. The guests of honour  Joseph Mathias and Mrs. Flavy Mathias were welcomed by Mr. Leslie Fernandes by presenting them flower bouquets. Vice President of the association, Norbert Sequeira led the prayer service while Roshni D'Souza read the word of God.

The President of the association Vincent Pereira who has been successfully leading the association with its enthusiastic and energetic committee, in his speech lauded support of all the sponsors and thanked all Ferarites who gathered from all seven emirates to participate in the "Kutmachen Jevaan".

Chief guest in his speech spoke  about the importance of this feast and recalled few old memories of celebrating Monthi Fest back home.

Roshan Pereira and Lancy D'Souza were honoured by the association for coming up with a creative Logo 'Ferarites UAE' and a slogan "Reaching out and touching lives" respectively.

Cultural coordinator Clara Fernandes conducted several games for children and adults, keeping the crowd entertained at all times. Wonderful dance presented by small children added to the entertainment.

Singer Lancy Noronha and his group enthralled the audience with melodious musical numbers along with members of the audience participating with them.

Advisor for the association and senior member from the parish, Cyril Pereira read out the message from Rev. Fr. Maxim Noronha, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xaviers Church -Ferar.

Blessed Paddy from the church was mixed with milk and served to all guests who were present, after the prayers conducted by Mr. William Pereira, reviving the traditional Novem Jevan. Traditional vegetarian food consisting of 9 varieties of vegetables, prepared by Winny's restaurant, was served on Banana Leaves, followed by delicious Vorn!

New members who joined the association were welcomed by the President, and were introduced to the audience. A sub-committee was also formed to strengthen the core committee.

Prizes were given away to all the winners of Games and participants of various events.

Finally, the program ended with vote of thanks by Norbert sequeira. The entire event was compered by Lawrence D'Cunha, who with his humorous touch  kept the program alive.

Ferarites UAE, once again thanks all the members, benefactors and sponsors including 'Drive Energy Drink' who sponsored an energy drink to all the guests.
